October saw Walmart nab one of the beauty industry's top analysts, Stephanie Wissink, and European retailer Douglas has new leadership. On the indie front, Relevant: Your Skin Seen, Rhode, Glow Recipe, and Beauty Pie add added to their executive ranks.Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst at Jefferies Stephanie Wissink, a respected financial analyst in retail and beauty, has left Wall Street after 20 years to join Walmart as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations. Stephanie fills the role formerly held by Dan Binder, who transitioned to a new position, Senior Vice President, Global Treasurer. She will report directly to John David Rainey, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.European retailer Douglas has appointed Sander van der Laan as its Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Tina Müller, who resigned and will join the Supervisory Board. Sander van der Laan was recently CEO of Dutch non-food retailer Action for over six years. Before joining Action, he spent over 16 years in various management positions at the listed retail company Ahold Delhaize.Macy's has appointed Julie Walsh as Senior Vice President, General Business Manager of Center Core and Beauty. Walsh currently serves as Macy's Vice President, Divisional Business Manager for fragrances.Puig has named Eugenia de la Torriente as its Chief Communications Officer, a newly created position responsible for the group's internal and external communications. De la Torriente reports to Marc Puig, Puig's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
